God wants to show us what real love is. His love isn’t temporary, conditional, or based on human approval. It is eternal, sacrificial, and deeply personal. No matter your past, God’s arms are open wide, waiting for us to receive this love fully.
Here are some powerful scriptures that reflect God's deep and unconditional love, especially for a man who has been heartbroken and never truly felt loved:
1. God’s Everlasting Love
Jeremiah 31:3 –
"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.’"
➡ No matter who has abandoned or hurt you, God’s love has always been there, drawing him in with kindness.
2. God is Close to the Brokenhearted
Psalm 34:18 –
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
➡ Your pain is not ignored. God is near to those who are hurting and promises to rescue them.
3. God’s Love is Unconditional
Romans 5:8 –
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
➡ God’s love isn’t based on performance or worthiness—it was given before we even knew Him.
4. God Heals the Wounded Heart
Psalm 147:3 –
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
➡ God doesn’t just comfort; He actively heals the wounds of the past.
5. Adopted as God’s Son
Ephesians 1:4-5 –
"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will."
➡ He is not fatherless or abandoned—God chose him us before the world was even formed.
6. Nothing Can Separate Him from God's Love
Romans 8:38-39 –
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
➡ No matter what you have done or gone through, nothing can take away God’s love from him.
7. Jesus Invites the Weary
Matthew 11:28-29 –
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
➡ Jesus personally invites him to find rest and love in Him.
8. He is Never Alone
Deuteronomy 31:8 –
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
➡ Even when people leave, God never will.
9. God’s Love is Personal and Deep
Isaiah 43:1-2 –
"But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’"
➡ God knows our name and calls us His own.
10. A New Heart and a New Spirit
Ezekiel 36:26 –
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
➡ God can restore our heart and make it new, filling it with love and healing.
